Parkville: A new kind of neighborhood by SMDC

one of Bacolod’s fastest-growing districts—once a stretch of sugarcane fields—a new kind of community is quietly taking shape. Parkville by SMDC isn’t your typical subdivision. Spanning 52 hectares, it’s a rare lots-only village built around what matters most: space, nature, and local heritage.
At the heart of Parkville are eight thoughtfully designed parks, each created to serve a real need. Orchard Park lets residents grow or pick fruit right in the neighborhood. Greenscape Park offers a shaded trail lined with native trees. There’s a dedicated pet park, a basketball court and sports field, a garden filled with flowering shrubs, and even a space planted with aromatic herbs and trees. These aren’t ornamental features—they’re part of the day-to-day life envisioned here.
Parkville sits on land that includes the site of the former Sta. Fe Resort—a place long associated with family memories for many Bacolodnons. While the resort’s operations have ceased, SMDC plans to thoughtfully integrate parts of its existing landscape into future phases of the community. In doing so, Parkville quietly preserves a connection to the past, while offering residents a fresh and forward-looking way to live.
Beyond green space, Parkville is built for real life. Residents will have access to an Olympic-sized pool, jogging and bike paths, a covered court, and a future clubhouse designed by renowned landscape firm Plat Studio. A toddler daycare center and co-working spaces are included, along with shophouse-designated lots and a planned commercial hub for retail and services.
Located just five minutes from the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Economic Highway, Parkville is well-connected to the airport, top schools, and business districts—making it both a practical address and a long-term investment.
In a time when most developments are built fast and tight, Parkville chooses to grow with intention. It’s a place to build your home, connect with your roots, and live with more breathing room—every single day.
