Parkville by SM Development Corporation (SMDC) is entering a new chapter marked by a tangible milestone: the recent upcoming groundbreaking of its entrance bridge. More than an infrastructure addition, the bridge signals the steady realization of a master plan designed to support long-term living, movement, and community life in Sta. Fe, Bacolod.
Spanning over 52 hectares, Parkville was introduced as a rare, lots-only development shaped by open space, heritage, and a distinctly Bacolodnon rhythm of life. Today, that vision is taking physical form, moving from concept to connectivity.
“The bridge represents how Parkville was always meant to grow—deliberately,” said Jessica Bianca Sy, Vice President and Head of Design, Innovation and Strategy at SMDC. “Making sure that access, circulation, and daily experience are carefully thought through as the community evolves.”
Designed as a key internal link within the estate, the bridge will improve traffic flow, enhance accessibility across neighborhoods, and support the development of future residential and lifestyle zones. It reinforces Parkville’s intent to function as a cohesive, well-connected community rather than a collection of isolated enclaves.
